Telangana summers are hot and dry, with April and May temperatures often above 40°C and higher still in the north of the state. That calls for hot-weather concreting practice: cooler pour times, prompt curing, and curing kept up for the full period. IS 456 calls for at least 7 days of moist curing for ordinary Portland cement concrete and at least 10 days where blended cements or mineral admixtures are used, extended in hot, dry weather. Most rain falls during the southwest monsoon from June to September.

- Surface finish — a power-trowelled VDF finish, with dry-shake floor hardener where abrasion is high
- Levels and flatness, checked during finishing, with tighter tolerances agreed for high-bay racking aisles
- Joint layout — saw-cut contraction joints at planned spacing, construction joints at bay edges, and filling or sealing once the slab has shrunk
- Curing method and period, agreed before the pour so the floor is not loaded too early
